I Can't Believe My Eyes
The cypress trees are swaying in the gentle evening breeze
I always have been grateful for what I have received
From the moment I first saw you, you took me by surprise
And when I look at you I can't believe my eyes
I watch you when you're sleeping and you float away upstream
I hope I'm in there somewhere, inside your wildest dreams
I can't shake off the feeling and I wouldn't want to try
And when I look at you I can't believe my eyes
Oh, I'm a fool sometimes
I wear a cloak of misery and sorrow
But I'm a lucky man, I understand
That you'll be there tomorrow
I never had to learn to love you, I was born that way
When the time was right the stars aligned and night turned into day
I seems I had been waiting for that moment to arise
And when I look at you I can't believe my eyes
I could talk all day
And never find the words to tell the story
I hesitate when I contemplate
The riches laid before me
I've got some money in my pocket
Let's walk on into town
Raise a glass or two to love before the sun goes down
I feel like I bought the ticket and I won first prize
And when I look at you I can't believe my eyes
