Sometimes I Just Get The Blues
Sometimes I just get the blues
So low down, only the blues will do
I need that sad song just to see me through
I got money, no holes in my shoes
I'm not sick, I don't have that excuse
Still and all sometimes, I just get the blues
Working too hard, drinking too much, sleeping with one eye on the door
The six o'clock news is getting harder to take
And everyday it's harder just to keep the faith
Sometimes I just get the blues
It's not something I easily choose
Can't help myself, I just get the blues
Someone says jump, I'm asking how high, someone wants my heart and my soul
I'm running like a train just to stand in one place
And everyday it's harder just to keep the faith
Sometimes I just get the blues
So low down, only the blues will do
I need that sad song just to see me through
